In support of the PS 39 Parent Association’s annual fundraising efforts to support classroom resources such as teaching assistants and support staff, as well as cultural and enrichment programs, Blair Guppy Landscape Architect donated consultation services to the “Mighty Fine Drive” campaign.

The winning bidder’s family happened to be in the early stages of a home interior renovation. I met with the project Architect and Owners to discuss strategies that would allow for provisions for future exterior space so as to minimize disruptions to their new home. This included demolition of existing pavements, siting of infrastructure, and considerations for stormwater management that could be addressed as part of their home demolition and renovations.

Two possible directions were provided along with image boards for planting, materials, and experiential concepts.
