As part of the Beansprouts educational program, I led an in-class activity with Ms. Sophia and Ms. Emily to help educate these little nuggets on the profession of Landscape Architecture. A brief introductory presentation and Q&A was provided to the class prior construction, installation and growing of their own personalized green roofs.

Materials:

• Shoe boxes personalized by each student

• Saran wrap and aluminum foil roof membrane

• Light-weight soil and grass seed
