Designing and constructing verdant outdoor amenity spaces was crucial to gaining the increased density sought by the developer for this commercial/residential project. Conceived as a series of themed outdoor spaces, the building’s third-floor roof garden took its cues from the neighbourhood’s gardenesque residential landscapes. Functional social and play spaces for all ages were accessed from multiple points of entry via universal pedestrian access that took advantage of the garden’s southern and eastern exposures. Public Art figured prominently and was integrated into the project as a focal point to the developments public corner at the North edge of the site. Extensive green roofs are a sustainable crown that visually unified the roofs of the three towers that descended in height from South to North.
